- splatter‑free
- outstanding coverage: up to 14 m²/l, single coat
This latex emulsion paint delivers high opacity, excellent coverage and durable coating colours. It establishes matt coats resistant to scrubbing, which allow walls to ‘breathe’. The paint has been designed for protective and decorative interior application to lime-cement and lime plaster, as well as cement, gypsum, wood, wood-based, brick, stone and plasterboard substrates.
Substrate preparation:
- the substrate should be solid, dry, and dust- and grease‑free
- fresh plaster should be cured for 3–4 weeks before application; gypsum plaster should be cured for 2 weeks; ‘dry plaster’ can be painted immediately after sanding
- substrates made out of plasterboard, skimmed substrates, or substrates coated with a strong colour should be primed with ŚNIEŻKA PRIMER undercoat emulsion
- remove old distempers; wash and rinse using water with detergent until plaster is uncovered
- old emulsion coats with a tendency to peel should be removed; those with good substrate adhesion should be washed using water with detergents and allowed to dry
- highly absorbent (except fresh skim coats),poorly bonded, loose and chalky substrates should be treated with an appropriate ACRYL-PUTZ®
- use mechanical cleaning methods where mould or fungus has appeared, then disinfect using a Vidaron anti-fungal agent; do not forget to eliminate the causes of fungus
- use ready‑mixed ACRYL-PUTZ® FS20 FINISH joint compound to even out any substrate irregularities; apply ready‑mixed ACRYL-PUTZ® FX23 FLEX joint compound to cracks and gaps or ACRYL-PUTZ® ST10 START powder joint compound if more filling is required; then coat with Śnieżka Primer emulsion
- use Śnieżka Streaks and Stains acrylic paint to cover up water, soot, nicotine and oil stains
Preparing the product:
- before application, mix the paint thoroughly; apply undiluted product to a primed substrate
- for application to fibreglass wallpaper, apply undiluted product to a primed substrate; depending on the wallpaper texture, the product may be diluted up to 10 per cent (a glass of water per 2.5 l of paint)
Painting:
- paint inside premises at ambient and substrate temperatures above +10°C.
- apply 1 or 2 coats (2 if not primed) of paint using a brush, roller or hydrodynamic spray; wait until the paint is dry (approximately 2–4 hours) before applying subsequent coats
- wash tools in water; air premises during and after painting works until the smell dissipates
ATTENTION:
- appropriate substrate preparation and use of recommended tools and application methods will contribute to achieving the correct paint efficiency as declared by the manufacturer; curing time: 28 days (time required for the coating to achieve full resistance to washing/scrubbing)
