Sniezka Modern White
Sniezka Modern White is a latex paint manufactured on the basis of Compact Comfort System, which constitutes a group of selected components and thickening agents, which prevent from splashing, enhance application properties and work comfort. Thanks to it, the coating is water resistant. It can be used upon surfaces made of mineral materials, gypsum, concrete, gas concrete, plaster cardboard panels, glass fibre wallpapers, wood and wood-based materials, inside of premises.
Surface preparation:
- the painting surface must be dry, solid, dust and grease free
- new cement and lime plasters can be painted after 3-4 weeks of seasoning, gypsum plasters after 2 weeks, so called: ‘dry plasters’ just after drying, grinding and dedusting,
- it is recommended to paint new surfaces, solid and smoothed down of intense colour by emulsion primer Sniezka Grunt
- in the event of spots where massive fungus is found, it is recommended to take advantage of methods used by specialised companies
- spots where fungus was found after removing the cause must be protected by VIDARON fungicide remover
- old layers of glue colour are to be removed, washed and rinsed off with detergent until the plaster can be visible
- old layers of emulsion paints with poor adhesiveness properties are to be removed, in the event of good condition they need to be rinsed off with detergent
- very absorptive surfaces with light adhesive properties, leaving traces on palms are to be painted by suitable primer ACRYL-PUTZ®. Properly primed surface should be matt.
- rough surfaces, cracks, scratches and fractures are to be filled in by proper putty ACRYL-PUTZ® and painted by emulsion primer SNIEZKA GRUNT
- damp patches of water, nicotine, oil are to be painted by Sniezka ZACIEKI i PLAMY,
- wallpapers made of glass fibre are to be painted by paint directly or it is necessary to follow other manufacturer’s recommendations
Product preparation
- the paint must be stirred carefully before application
- when painting new surfaces, not primed, it is recommended to thin the paint, depending on absorptive properties of the surface, adding 10% of fresh water
- when painting old surfaces with good adhesive properties or previously primed – do not thin the paint
- in the event of ‘adhesiveness enhancement’ it is allowed to thin the paint adding from 3 to 5% of water
- do not mix with other paints or lime
Painting
- painting works are to be carried out at the air and surface temperature from +10ºC to +30ºC,
- the paint is to be applied by roller, paintbrush or hydrodynamic spraying 1- 2 - at 2-4 hour intervals,
- the paint is to be applied onto walls and ceilings carefully and evenly. Last layer by roller or paintbrush is to be carried out one direction.
- after the painting works have been completed it is necessary to wash the tools by water.
- the paint coat obtains its full durable properties after 28 days since the day of painting works were completed
